I finally saw the new Star Wars movie with my bro, and thought it was bloody fantastic despite the familiar territory it covered. Lookin’ forward to the next one.
As stated in Part 1, these two bodges are turning Kenobi & Vader…
With Black Mage complete, it was time to move onto Red Mage
This one was a bit more involved than just swapping a hat. It starts with some cuts and reposing to the arm to make the pose look more like an attack, rather than some awkward and painful looking stance.
(though if you can do this, good on you! I would make a faceplant.)
I added primer early, as unlike most projects, this one was painted as I went along. A paintbrush can’t get to some parts otherwise.
After that came a reenactment of the scene from the Hannibal movie:
Minus the nomming of brainmeats, of course.
Result looks like he had a slip with the saber.
After that, a bit of painting:
Next up was adding the cape and mask, which I made out of greenstuff and plasticard.
I then began slappin’ some paint on those parts.
I had to think about it for a bit, then started with this:
In the end, the cork was too big and irritating to scale down. Instead, I used a lump of greenstuff and a piece of plasticard for the feather.
With that done, I added hair along with an ascot to break up the red and green color scheme.
That pretty much covers it, and here are the results:
