This was a bodge that took forever to come to fruition.
I intended to do this one not long after I made the Varia Zero Amiiduo, but it was an idea that I had a much more difficult time visualizing.
The idea? Combine the Zelda & Sheik Amiibos into an Amiiduo.
First things first: we needed to pop open the bases and extract the chips. With that done, I chose the Sheik Amiibo to serve as the “base” for the Amiiduo, and took a blade to the inside of the base to ensure that the chips wouldn’t be damaged.
I then placed said chips like so:
I decided, for the time being, that I wouldn’t be sealing the base in case I needed to make adjustments. This would depend on how the Amiiduo bodge progressed.
Speaking of which, it was time for these two…
…to become one. To do this, these two needed to become many, first.
The best way to accomplish this is the “Fallout Bloody Mess” method:
Instead, we did this:
After that, I primed it.
Theeeen… I accidentally dropped it.
The silver lining to the unfortunate droppage was that it DID make it easier to paint.
Here’s the result:
And here it is in action:
